Default QLD pending speeding fines

Good evening guys and girls

I will try and keep this short

I was coming home from the Goldcoast to Brisbane about 2 weeks ago behind some jerkoff in obligatory little bubble **** box who seemed to think it would be fun to speed up and slow down and every time I would go to pass cut me off and slow down again. (Keep in mind I didn't do anything to this person they were just *******)

So after a few Ks of this retard I decided I would get in front so I put my foot down and, all my luck a black flash for cash sitting on the side of the road. I slammed my brakes on and got back to 100 before the van and I dont recall seeing a flash. But in saying that I dont know what angle distance these things are set at.

My question is: Is it possible for me to go to the local police station and ask if there is a pending speeding fine waiting to be posted (Id assume after 2 weeks there would be something on their system?) Or if I have to just play the waiting game.

I would have only been going a max 17-18 ks over before I saw it so its only gonna be like 3 points if it did get me. Its just the suspense that's getting to me.

thanks

There is no such thing or way for them to check if a pending speeding fine is there. Do you really want to go speak to the police and say hey I was speeding can you double check for me....

Play the waiting game BUT I think you are in the clear.

I think they get you speeding from a bit of a distance then take the photo when you get closer. Depends on where they are set up as to how far away they take your speed though. It is usually pretty clear to see if you get flashed or not so I'd say you got nothing if you didnt notice it flash

I'll try remain cautiously optimistic for now but hopefully I don't get one. This who situation could have been avoided if people would stay left unless overtaking.

Generally it takes upto 3 weeks, maximum. However saying that, I'd agree with others here and say, you're in the clear.

Are you sure you were in a 100 kph section, not 110 kph?

Just wait otherwise you'll go and admit to the cops you were speeding.
