Default How quickly do you turn over vehicles?

I think there may be something wrong with me. I cant seem to keep a car for more than 6-12 months before I'm bored with it and find myself looking for something else!

I used to really enjoy having a new car every few months, (sometimes 2-3 cars at a time) but now even though I still find myself looking for a new car I'm getting sick of it, its like im fighting myself all the time, its very exhausting!

Can you help me!

sounds like you need a bigger mortgage so you can't afford new cars, or maybe a wife and kids. these 3 things combined stops me from car shopping

Oh thats cool!

I have a Fiance and 1 Year old baby, but my morgage is tiny and I have a decent amout of disposable income, yes I have though of lashing out on some home reno's or something just so i dont have the cash to spend. but I like having cash handy for a rainy day. It helps me sleep at night knowing I can pay the morgagte for several months even if I loose my job etc..

I've had 3 cars in 3 years, Territory & 2 FG Falcons, hopefully I'll hold on to the current one for more than a year! New 5.0L V8 might make that a bit hard though.

Have had 11 cars in the last 14 years... yeah I have a problem

The worrying aspect is that in that time I held onto a EL XR6 for 5 years because I couldn't bring myself to own an AU

The only reason I stop buying cars is that I run out of room in the shed. Two years is the most I ever had a daily driver. Project cars last a bit longer I take photo's then it's on to the next one.

I'll have to buck the trend - 2 cars in 16 years - planning to keep the current car I've had for 10 years for another couple of years or when finances allow.

I used to be like this for a few years, different car every 6 months, was very expensive.

My brother was worse, he brought/sold 12 in one year & if he sold any more he'd have to get a Used Dealers License lol.

24 years of driving and i think I'm on car#22. But that includes the missus cars too, and we've been together 20 years. Still, If I have a car fo 2 years, I'm doing well.

Love the Pontiac, but not the Kingswood hub caps, lol.

I have the same problem with cars. Usually get a new one every 2 years but always looking for cars on eBay and Carsales.

Had my licence for 22 years. In that time I've owned 5 cars.

Ford Laser (KE) - 13-14 years
Ford Laser (KJ) - 6 years
Holden Gemini - 2 years
Ford Futura (AU) - 8 years and still going
Ford SR (AU) - 5 Years and still going

In all fairness though, the Gemini was my wife's before we got married.

So really I've only bought 4 cars in 22 years! Every car I've bought has been a Ford.
