Hi Guys,
I know this has been covered a million times before, but I wanted some help confirming whether a 2001 AU Series 2 XR8 has the 200Kw or 220Kw engine. Firstly, it is a May 2001 build (as advertised) and a single owner car. The owner has stated that it is a 220Kw car, but here are the following things that make me think otherwise:
Here is a pic of what the throttle body looks like: Ideally I would like a Series 3 XR8, but they are becoming hard to find with low KMs, manual, and in good condition. This car is a tidy car, low KMs, manual and completely original, but the owner thinks it is a 220Kw car, and since he is the original owner, would it have come with documentation to suggest that it is a 220Kw car? And without being rude, should the fact that it is a 200Kw car and not 220Kw car make a difference in the price? Or do I just wait for a AU S3 XR8 to come along? Thanks in advance! I’d say it’s a 200kw job.

As the others have said, it's a 200kw.
Another confirmation is 220's had a front mounted engine oil cooler, 200's didn't.

Also, would the papers/manual say anything about power output? |

The oil filter is smaller on a 220 to fit the oil cooler adapter.

Since I've been looking for a S3 XR8, the 220 would be close enough, but if it is a 200 I'll need to think about whether I want to settle for a S2.

If it has an oil cooler the filter will be a Z89A, if it doesn't it will be a Z9.
