I thought I'd better throw something up here, just in case someone from our area that wasn't at the January meeting didn't hear about it.
On Sunday the 25th of January we're having a run to Elliot Head. We will be leaving the Dept of Transport (or whatever it's called this week) at 9, so be there early. As far as I remember, we'll have a break in Childers. Our Event Coordinator will be providing a bbq and drinks for a small fee, so we need not pack too much. We need a trailer. The theme is "Australia", so dress up, decorate to your heart's content. Or not. Cheers

I, sadly, won't be. I was intending to, but I'm having friends up from Brisbane so I'll be abstaining. It does sound like a good run. Also, I've been doing a little to the XF this week so I'm really looking forward to taking it on a run...

Apparantly, Mr Plod doesn't like people driving with alcohol coursing through their veins. Given it is UnAustralian to not be incredibly intoxicated on Australia Day, I am forced, by law, to leave the keys on the hook.

I'd say that the system is moving through and that whilst it mightn't be perfect weather, it won't be bucketing down either. In nay case, we'll make do with whatever we get.
Cheers

I'll do Helen's car late this afternoon. Made a deal with myself to wash and vac it weekly, unlike the AU, which was probably once a month. Just need to keep up with this one a little better, inside and out. I'll polish it before the Ute Show on the 14th.
"Sad" how my life is revolving around cars, car displays, runs and car care, huh? Not really!!!!!!! Cheers

Nice pics there - I love the Froot Loops together. The colours photograph so well. Jeez I love Helen's car - it's just the complete package.
We have come a long way as a Club - it was a really great day. That everyone gets on so well is testimony to the calibre of people that we attract. I think the heavy rain to start made us appreciate the day even more. That we had a nice spread of cars was excellent too. Plus, having lunch cooked for us was exceptional. Thanks to all for a great day! Cheers

Here's some pics from fpv - I'll break them into a few posts:
It was awfully wet for the first part. Huddling together in the shelters brought us together... FPV showed us his exploding creaming soda trick! : Cheers

Can you hear something getting closer? (Awesome photo, there.)
Other Clubs were also at the park -it was cool to meet some new people, pkus we've committed to meeting up for a run or two. Cheers

At the park, the weather was far kinder - God drives a Ford.
I have no idea where we got a flag this big (well ...) It looked the goods, though - very patriotic. When the two other Clubs left, we took over a shelter, so moved camp. All we needed was Cleopatra underneath it. Cheers

The way home - sorry, lots of some crappy Lime Tart to follow (thanks FPV for the photo shoot!)
We all love ice cream! Much excitement when we all pulled in - shop profits. Spot the two that like Club runs and the one that doesn't... Cheers

When we got to the beach, the weather was perfect. Some other clubs were there, but this added to the spectacle.
Isn't this car a beautiful colour? : I love these images - our cars seen through the members from another club. Cheers
