Hey guys,
So i've finally gotten around to putting my Fiesta on the market. I've put in a full sized steel spare wheel with stock conti tyre, a custom fitted Brodit ProClip phone holder, custom fitted cloth seat covers from Canterbury Seat Covers, K&N drop in Panel Filter with cleaner kit and a custom fit foam boot liner. At least those are the things easily removed. Is it worth selling the car with those accessories, or better to just part it out here? Cheers |

I would definitely sell the spare tyre. I was chasing one for ages for Mrs Fiesta, and I'm sure there would be someone willing to buy it off you here. I'm sure the K&N would go as well. It was my experience when trading in the Focus that the dealers were willing to take your car with extras, but not willing to pay for them. Private buyers are often the same.

For reference, know an ex sales manager who worked closely with the valuers at dealerships. 99% of the time they barely even look at the car, just called up the wholesaler and got the price. He also said accessories mean bugger all to private buyers, as it is typically stuff they don't need/want in the car or stuff they can pick up an equivalent of for $10 at super cheap.

Yep, I'll be pulling the parts off the Fez this Saturday, taking pictures and sorting out the ads. Will be putting up the for sale thread up then and I'll link it on this thread.
Thanks for your input guys |

All the best with the sale Caydus. I would pull the parts off and sell them seperately.
What are you upgrading to?

Cheers mate.
Already upgraded and on my driveway while the Fiesta hogs the garage space, staying with the Euro theme, a Golf GTI |

Yea, in a manner of speaking. Bigger power, much bigger on the inside too, but I don't have the confidence I had with the fez to really chuck it into a corner, despite the tighter suspension.200+ kg really makes a difference.

Aye, offered some to friends and they're going already.
And yes, the GTI is a DSG, though unlike the fez's dry clutch truncated system, it's a full wet clutch system with paddles. |

You are a glutton for punishment!
Why not just get a six speed manual? |

I suppose I am...
I'm not the only person who drives the car, and lets say she refuses to learn manual. I could never go back to a slushbox, so here it is. Figured VW make the best DSGs in the industry (Veyron DSG) and the Mk6 GTI's wet clutch 6 speed has been around since late '09 and the track record so far is pretty good. People have been running 300+ hp through those DSGs as daily drivers and they hold up well. That and 5 year factory warranty on gearboxes because of the Mk5 DSG debacle. Oh and the DSG fart is pretty spectacular |
