Is it blowing hot air as if the heater is on or is it just not cooling the air? If it is hot then there is something wrong with your heater switch somewhere. If it is just not cold then it may be a gas leak or many other things. Can't help with where to take it.

This thread is probably best put in the AU section under technical.

Not really, he is not asking for technical advice, he is asking for recommendations on someone to repair the air con.

spot on.

my car was blowing warm air, ie. not cooling and then it came good. and i was told gas was low, but my car is still under warranty so ill just take it to ford when im ready.

im asking for another AU i own, which is not underwarranty and we dont want to get charged excessive rates by a dealer to repair it.

the heater box was replaced in this car maybe 18 months ago. its blowing warm air. so we suspect a leak or some sort.

WHAT I DO WANT TO KNOW, is if there are any aircon specialists that people can reccommend me in western sydney to look at this car.

AND, there is no technical section in the AU forums. i would know this because i am one of the AU moderators.

Whatever...I offered my opinion which I thought would be somewhat of a help to him.

Your post didn't help at all.

Still can't help with your question, have you tried the yellow pages?

Your posts are not helpful.
He didn't say does anyone know of an aircon repairer in Western Sydney. Of course you could use the yellow pages for that. His question was:
is anybody able to reccomend me a good aircon bloke in western sydney to have a look and repair this system??
(poor spelling left intact)

The yellow pages doesn't have an opinion and it doesn't make recommendations.

Thought it was quite helpful actually, you clearly made the mistake of thinking he was after technical advice, i knew he wasn't. I posted so others didn't make the same mistake as you.

Now im leaving and not dragging this further off topic then it has already been.

Good luck with the a/c Henri.

Id be checking the heater tap. If its worn and staying slightly open, then hot water is passing through the system and you will get warm air as if the heater was slightly on, effectively it is on. It will only be warm not hot because youre only getting a small flow.

I dont live in 'Sydeny', thank Christ.

i thought this thread was about aircon specialists? Not debating the pros and cons of it's location.

Not meaning to offend just making the point that it was a quote and I didn't spell it that way I bolded it to illustrate the question you were asking.

I've also used Mt Druitt Auto Electrics @ 84 Kurrajong Ave - worked on my EF sedan when the A/C compressor shredded itself. Reasonably priced - never had to take anything back for re-work.
