My wife has just bought an 86 GC Meteor for a run about. She's away for a month so I've been driving it a bit but am not overly keen on the interior trim. Are the Meteors interchangible with other, possibly later, models? Also bodywise, are there any cheap ways of making it look a little better?

they may have come with several interior colour options
a trip to a wrecker may give you the colour you like or a motor trimmer to recover your interior needs floor carpet /door trims/seats/steering wheel and maybe dash to make it look right just depends on what you dont want after market body kits or pin stripeing .. gold is a tough colour to do something with :

As well as lasers, have a look at the 323 of the same vintage.

The best interior parts you can change without modifying anything is from a Laser KE Ghia.. And there's a huge difference in how the KE Ghia stuff looks compared to a Meteor GL.
You can go to a Mazda BF 323 but the Ghia stuff looks better.

Meteors also had a Ghia model if you want to broaden what interiors you're looking for. I'm assuming the Meteor Ghia interiors are basically the same as the Laser ones.
My GF has an '87 Meteor GL, and I can't stand it's pov interior :P |
