Question FORD Orion in WIKPEDIA

The Ford Orion was a saloon built by the automaker Ford for the European market from July 22, 1983 to 19 September 1993. Ford sold 534,239 Orions throughout the cars 10 year life. In a recent article published by The Daily Telegraph it emerged that the Orion was the 7th best selling Ford car within the last 40 years [1

Yeah, there was an old European Ford called the Orion. I doubt it had anything to do with the next Falcon though.
Just like apparently there was an American concept car a couple of years ago called the Ford Falcon or Fairmont or something (I can't remember the details).
But yeah, I think some names circulate around inside companies for some reason.
