i have a water leak going on the inside of the bell housing how many welsh plugs are there i have found 3 on the side is there one on the back of the motor too

There are two welsh plugs at the back of the engine: one in the back of the head and another at the back of the block which would be covered by the bellhousing.

hmmm thanks not what we wanted to hear lol
so can it be done with the motor in the car with the gearbox off and dose the fly wheel have to be removed aswell |

Flywheel needs to be removed. I don't think it would be an easy job replacing the welsh plug with the engine still in. You might get to the plug from underneath the car when the engine leans back on it's mounts (after gearbox is removed), but I've never given it a try this way. I'd recommend taking the engine out to do the job.
