Went to book the D Max in for its 80k service today, when I was told the cost I asked was this the fixed cap servicing cost ,only to be told only the first 5 services are covered under that agreement ,news to me is this standard With other brands or only isuzu .Not what I was told when I brought it !!! It is now getting serviced else where at two thirds of the cost. The web site in big red writing 5years fixed cap servicing but in small print says only for the first 5 services!!!

Toyota are similar.
As soon as the warranty period was up I took it straight to my local mechanic.
I haven't looked back.

Every service has been a different price, the office bloke was having a winge about the system today when I picked it up from the 50K. The bloke just before me was questioning the system as well.

If its the same as the Kia fixed price servicing then it is correct, they gaurantee a set price for the life of the warranty but as its only scheduled to have 1 service per year it equates to only 7 services.
It doesn't cover intermediate servicing for extreme conditions etc or additional consumables if you drive hard and chew through pads etc.

Fixed price doesnt mean its the same price at every service either, as some services require additional work, it just means that they cant change the price from what it is for that particular service for the life of the plan if costs go up..or down.

Capped price may mean the services are subsidised by the manufacturer for a set period (like Toyota), you gotta check the details when you buy.

The first services for my Mondeo were BELOW the Ford capped price service rate.
But then, the service manager decided to act the d!ck when they broke some wheel nuts...and unfortunately, it was my wife picking up the vehicle....big mistake!!

I though I was getting fixed price, but turns out it was Fords Capped price..

so the rates keep going up, the initial rate was quite attractive - now its not.
so capped price is the maximum, yet funny how they always charge exactly that and cant even fit new wipers, extra $85 for those..

so yes you gotta check you details

The mondeo ones are a std wheel nut, with decorative metal shell over the top. The shell is a bit fragile.....apparently???
But common sense would have seen them replace them without any discussion!
