Default Blank PM's

Russell and Co,
I have been sending PM's to "TuffParts" user Private9
and he is receiving blank messages from me, but I can see his messages?

I'll have a look - send me a test PM in case.

Cheers

I tried and got this message.
"Please complete both the subject and message fields."

Subject was "Test"
Massage was " Test PM as required"

I think this happened to me today too, I sent another forum member a PM and received a blank reply. Thought it was on purpose but maybe not after seeing this thread.

I've been sending and receiving plenty but for those experiencing issues can I suggest that you clear your web browser cache as some object will remain cached for several days and after the server software upgrade a lot of these objects have changed and while they appear to work ok they actually don't.

The only issue I have noted (and I have to go and find the error in the template) is that replies to PM put a space before the colon used to separate recipient names. Apart from the fact that it shouldn't be needed on a single reply I would think that might cause some issues.

Cheers
Russ

After a little bit of digging I have found that we were using our own customised (and out of date) template for the PM's - I have merged out changes into the new template and this seems to have resolved the issue.

Cheers
Russ
