Probably two trains and one backed back over it. Surely it wont be worth anything at the auctions?

I wouldn't buy that on principle alone. Knowing someone would've died or been severely injured in it.
I get enough chills walking through a wreckers. |

Entire Vehicle - Impact Damaged Vehicle . that has to be a understatement of the year
you see cars like this and wonder what the ****** happened I have seen cars like that in the past and the drivers / passengers get away with minor injuries and next time you see a car accident that ended up in some one death and there is only minor damage you have to wonder some times

The only positive thing to come out of that was that the engine has already been removed for the prospective buyer....oh, and the fluids would have already been drained....

It had something heavy on the back which made the collision far worse.

Rolled into an open pit mine perhaps. Or after the ANCAP crash test.

That's one of the better examples of a Rodeo I've seen, not all of them come that straight from factory.

That is insane. Terminal velocity 180kph on impact. But knowing the xr6t the motor was only just getting warmed up at that speed. Do fatality wrecks actually pop up at the auctions? Would hate to think of being anywhere near what it would be recycled into, e.g. can of coke, spoon, fork, etc

Of course they do, it just takes a long time.
For example, the fatal crash my son was involved in was on 10th August. His car, a VE berlina with very minor front left damage and the other car a mitsi triton which suffered a rollover and fatality are both sitting out the back of the nearest police station. Triton is obviously a write off and will hit the auction at some point. My sons car is now unregistered, but act is easy as long as its less than 12 months, insurance claim submitted but policy has since expired and he can't renew as he doesn't have possession of the car. All in all a stuffed up situation because a triton driver doesn't like being overtaken and underestimates his acceleration before changing lanes. |

yeah, tree is probably the most common culprit, although hitting something heavy with 110,000 psi chassis rails will make a mess too.
