Hi All
in my 2000 AUII i have a little problem. When i have the radio on (doesnt matter what station) i hear static through the speakers when the fan is on. It doesn't matter where the air is pointing, or if the aircon is on or off, it just has static. Turn the fan off - crystal clear radio. Does anyone know what might be the fix for this? Thanks In Advance

I'd say a bad grounding of the radio. Pull it out and ground it elsewhere on unpainted metal, unless it's the stock radio, in which case you'd have to pull the ground wire from the harness and run your own from the ground wire hole in the harness to the new point. Might be wrong though, wait for a few more replies

If it turns out not to be the ground wire issue, then it is probably a broken solder connection inside the unit itself (and most likely on the earth circuit). But I'd go with the poor earth first.
