was just wondering what is smart casual called and what clothing is covered as smart casual. apparently theres 2 types of smart casual formal smart casual and informal smart casual.

apparently black or dark colour jeans are ok for the latest smart casual, are black or dark colour jeans ok for all smart casual and are black or dark colour denim jackets ok.

Do’s and Don’ts of Smart Casual

Do wear a tailored blazer that’s made of lightweight materials (cotton, linen) during warmer seasons and heavier materials (wool) during colder seasons.

Don’t wear a windbreaker or any other type of athletic coat or jacket.

Do wear a dress shirt or tight-fitting sweater.

Don’t wear a sweatshirt or hoodie.

Do feel free to wear a clean, neutral, tight-fitting, premium t-shirt.

Don’t wear a visibly casual t-shirt of inferior quality or loud colour.

Do wear khakis, chinos or a nice pair of denims.

Don’t wear sweatpants or running pants.

Do wear tailored shorts that retain a clean, slim profile and land above the knee.

Don’t wear cargo shorts, board shorts, swim trunks, loose fitting shorts or outwardly athletic shorts.

Do wear comfortable, but still fashionable shoes like Oxfords, brogues, boat shoes, moccasins or even slip-on sneakers that are high in quality and neutral in colour.

Don’t wear athletic sneakers, trainers or flip-flops.

Do aim for neutral colours and stylish patterns, making sure everything matches.

Don’t wear loud, flashy colours and patterns unless it’s intrinsically part of your personal style.

also want to ask theres also tallmenshoes.com that sell casual and formal elevator shoes and you can also buy shoe lifts too and put in a pair of shoes too.

and theres also cuban heel too.

do elevator shoes and shoe lifts give the same effect and experience as women wearing heels because they apparently make men taller and legs looking slimer or allow for longer leg pants just the same as women wearing heels.

if men want the heels look what would be maximum heel height thats ok for men.

how do you turn a pair of shoes into elevator shoes.

also can men wear womens plain jeans with no girly patterns if they fit without feeling loose or falling down if they make the pockets deeper to fit all their things in if they wear mens everything else.

Black pleated dress pants or black jeans and a nice collared shirt - I like the all black look that looks like I'm going to a funeral but I'm a fat bastard and black looks better on us with the hairy man boobs, or any other darker colour.

If you want high heels as a bloke - a nice pair of laced steel capped boots, the 6" variety, get em in black, your dress pants will cover everything but the front of your boots and its not TOO obvious whats going on - I wear Caterpillar Endure:



I used to have to dress formal and rocked the black steel capped boots with the suit and no one ever mentioned anything or noticed - always kept em polished, my pants would cover the laces nicely.

Female jeans won't fit a dude too well because they're cut for a female body - they have different shaped hips, thighs and compared to us.

If you need pants with bulk pockets - I wear these cargo pants in black as my casual getup like its 1997 again:

Thats the exact opposite of what a couple of the wog boys i work with take as smart casual. They go white pants, white shoes, white shirt, diamond ear rings and mr t style gold chains. Apart from maybe board shorts, no man should ever wear white long pants... A nice collared shirt, decent jeans and plain ish clean shoes is really all thats needed. Its one of those things like how long is a piece of string.

I'm a wog boy too but unfortunately I'd look like a fabulous Michelin man if I dressed in white, and I drop food all over myself when I eat so the black solves two problems at once

Though as a younger man I did want a white suit - then realised I'm too fat and messy for that sort of nonsense.

What i dont get, is these guys try as hard as possible to look rich, but surrounded by the rest of the boys, we all know theyre on 15 an hour. Granted theyre apprentices, but when at the pub for a work bonding session (which is just getting as hammered as possible on the bosses tab) the rest of us tend to come up with some pretty decent comments.

In my opinion they they both involve long collared shirts either tucked in or not, and the only difference is jeans or slacks, dress or casual shoes.

No jeans, no sneakers, no T-shirt’s including pollo shirts. Smart casual is pressed pants, belt, collared buttoned shirt, decent lace up shoes which are either black or brown. If it’s cold a woolen pullover vest or with sleeves, alternatively a single breasted jacket. That’s what work tell us anyways. My workplace is smart casual in house, formal gear when consulting. I’ve been sent home for either wearing jeans or cargo pants.
