Hey peoples , Just installed 1 of these from ebay . NON Genuine item i know , but its failed in les than 1 hour . Wont hold pressure and spews coolant out of the neck that the cap Sits on .
Seller is Located @ Smithfield , will be paying them a visit . However it leaves me needing to go to the wreckers today to chase one up as the wife needs her car fo the kids . Anyway , just a bit of buyer beware i guess , or im unlucky

Are you sure the pressure rating of the new cap is correct, or maybe you could use the old cap on the tank.
Historically, the main problem with AUs venting coolant has been the cap! Cheers |

Got a link for it mate? I also purchased a non genuine off fleabay and it's all good. Using the old cap.

But a B-series one in as a replacement ... I got from Macarthur Parts plus for about $40 with factory screw in cap. Worked a treat ... and clean.
I did have to change the lower hose out of the header tank as it is located differently ... but that was just a B-series one. One the shorter hose from the top of the header tank to the radiator needed to replaced with a longer one (I just got another thermostat housing to header tank hose and cut it to length)

New cap and old cap same thing . Always going to be a dud in a batch i guess , what can ya do .
New cap is rated at 135
