Default AU Oil Leak - what is this thing that the oil is coming from?

G'day guys,
Recently my AU 6 cylinder has started to leak oil quite heavily, and today I jacked it up to see if I could find/rectify the problem. The sump is covered in oil, and I think I've found the source of the leak. It's this line shown below, located on the right hand side of the block, just above the oil filter. After starting the car up I noticed bubbles forming at the plastic connector. I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is, and how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated. Here's the leaking line:

And a close up:

I have more photos of it if needs be..
Thanks!

If anyone has a different opinion to Tony, please feel free to post what you think it is. A second opinion can't hurt! Having said that, Tony's most probably 100% right.

Yes,agree it's prob.the oil-pressure switch.I just did mine.Get 1"box spanner,take off the air-box,easy.The switch was made by Triden & cost $10 at Supercheap & taiwanese box spanner $6.It's poss.that the 10/40 oil I put in caused it to blow.After taking the switch out I put 5L of 10/30 in.

Hi. If it has a light on the dash it is an oil pressure switch and if it has a gauge it is a sender. Cheers MD

Cheers for all the replies guys. I went to Autobahn the day I made this thread and got myself an oil pressure sender (the thing that screws into the block) to stick in. I haven't had a chance to fit it yet, but hopefully that should fix the problem. If not, I'll be back in here!

Seriously in the AU they are both the same switch.
All the guage is on an AU is a fancy light.
If you notice AU pressure gauges do not move when the car is idling or reving. The pressure never changes.
All AU's sit on the 5th bar of the guage!
The guage does nothing more then a light. They just have the electronics in the cluster set up to drive a guage so people believe it has a guage.
I went and bought a new sensor for the 5.0 in mine. Listed in the Triden book was AU Falcon , Fairmont and XR8 and the one part number. It is just a switch!

AU1's did have a proper sender MrEL. I know the high series ones did.
In the series 2/3 yes they are just a switch..

Thanks for the input everybody, the part I got from Autobahn was a sender unit. I still haven't actually got around to fixing it yet, but when I do hopefully it's the sender that's dead and not the switch!
