Braided brake hoses

I'm interested in replacing the rubber brake hoses on my BA with braided hoses.

The standard front rubber hoses look short and are very stretched when the steering is on full lock. The back hoses were replaced under a "recall".

Do you supply braided hoses that would take these issues into account? I'm a bit concerned about replacement braided hoses having the same problem of potentially being too short

I can make them for you any length you want so there is no problem at all.A complete set or just the fronts can be made for you.

How much for a complete set? I'm not sure of the original sizes for the BA but I feel that any replacements should be slightly longer.

In the Goodridge lines they are about $360 for a full set.We have just fitted a full set to a BA with std brakes today.

Did you use the same length as the originals? Did they fit OK? I was told the are a bit short, hence my original post.

It was my car that was fitted with these Goodridge lines today.Im more than happy with the workmanship.I had access to watch them being fitted which was good to see the amount of work that goes into these lines.Matt took the time to explain any question i asked.If your after some of these lines RBS is where you should go.The feel in the pedal is nice and firm now

Just be a little cautious there mate. They are actually illegal to have fitted in S.A. Yes, I know it's stupid, but who can figure out how the transport dept works in this state.

Sounds about right if the lines are of a type that is not ADR approved.

I don't think they allow them at all. It might be best to double check with Regency just to have peace of mind for yourself. I might be wrong.

If you do, try and speak with the head inspector, rather than the sheet kickers. (If you get my drift)

The lines were made longer and we also supplied the rear brackets for the hoses as well thanks.

I'm not in SA, but I can't see any logical reason for them disallowing braided lines other than if they are of a type that is not ADR approved.

They can't just make crap up to stop people getting them like "oh, that's boy racer stuff you're not allowed to have that" type thing.

I checked with Regency today.... everthing is okay as long as the lines are banded/tagged(their words). On the Goodridge lines I have just had installed there is a clear plastic sleeve over an information band that says ADR/O (couldn't make the last letter out - its dark & my eyes are not 100%) approved and a registration#. This is what Regency said is legal.

just looked at the pic's in the thread.... look at the 1st pic, you can clearly see a sleeve on the brake line with info on it .... I'm pretty sure that's the band.

They obviously changed the rules, which doesn't surprise me in the least. At least you got the words straight from the horses mouth, not just assumptions. Good luck with the conversion

I've recently purchased front set of 4 pot Brembos off a BAGT-P and noticed only rubber lines came with them, WTF

: , is this how they come with the car from factory??
Anyways could you please quote me a price on a complete set of braided lines to suit AU3 XR8 Ute, Brembo fronts, TE50 rears.

Yest they only came out with rubber in most applications.I can supply you with braided front lines for $162 delivered but i do not have the hardware to make the rear ute lines on the AU111 sorry as they have an odd bracket.
