If it's so easy to scrap fuel subsidies, how come it is so hard to cut taxes ?
Your government at work people. 46 new taxes introduced since entering government, Libs at work. |

They are cutting taxes for low and middle incomes. Heard it on the news tonight. He said substantial cut, so that means more then $10. So we might all get some fuel stamps maybe?

Let's not be mistaken what is happening here. These people have been receiving a subsidy. A subsidy. A payment from the government - a payment which is by no means an entitlement. A subsidy which was provided as a transitional arrangement for the introduction of the GST.
So... the government is supposed to contribute to their fuel expenses into enternity? A subsidy which is funded by all australians to benefit a minority of australians?
