Hi Guys,
I am an owner of a White 1974 MK_I Escort Coupe that, as much as it hurts i am needing to sell. I have been told by a mechanic friend (as i am mechanically challenged) that these little babies are quite popular in the Escort world. The car isn't completely original as it was rebuilt back in 2000. It originally had the 1300 but now has a 1600 from a MK_II (I Think) The body is in good condition. It has a little bit of rust here and there and a couple of little dings that would easily be worked out. The car also has a set of 15" Mags that set it off quite nicely. It is currently sitting in our car port as i no longer use it. It hasn't been kicked over in a while but I'm pretty confident with a jump it would start up. I would prefer to sell the car onto an Escort Enthusiast who would be looking to rebuild it and maybe even work it into rally potential. Are there any Escort clubs or any organisations that would be a good place to advertise or do you think i can gather enough interest up on this forum. Thanks in advance Gary PS I'm in the process of getting some pics to post as well |

What kind of coin are you after, and where are you located?
Id try ebay or even Unique Cars.

If you want to sell it quickly, wack it on ebay with no reserve, but get the bidders to call you and take down their numbers, to avoid tyre-kickers. If its got the revised suspension ie. rear shockers go thru the boot floor as opposed to a bar fixed to the boot floor, you can ask a bit more money for it as this is the same as the Mk 2 set-up.
In "Just Parts" magazine there is a listing of most of the car clubs in Australia. The guys to talk to are the RSOC (Rallye Sport Owners Clubs) in your local state and maybe advertise in their club newsletters....... Otherwise, if you are in Melbourne, just give me a call. I buy and sell anything Escort & Capri and have customers all around Australia. Cheers Glenn Pintopunter Escort & Capri Spares 0401 881 379 |
