Default hey everyone what made you become a member at these forums?

High everyone, my name is Anthony and im new to these forums. Im 17 and i'm going for my p's in about two months time. i started liking ford since my dad bought a ba2 GT. I was never really into cars before but since he got this car i really like fords. he had a choice between a clubsport and the gt and he liked the gt's package, so im very pleased to say that im a ford fan and i'll never look back. i have constantly gone over forums and decided to join one. i noticed the last forum site i became a member to didn't have much movement and posts were rarely new. ive tryed a few other ford sites but none really look like they offer much as in discussions and advice. i came apon this site and it really looks friendly and it has many threads that show alot of information and interesting discussions. i look foward to meeting you all. Anyway, what made everyone join this forum and how do they feel about it after joining. thanks for getting to know me

Welcome. When I was researching buying a car, (I already knew I was going to buy an AU). I was looking for common problems, and this site came up. I have never looked back from signing up here, had some great cruises, met great people, and if I hadnt found this forum, my fairmont would have a cannon, lol.

I was searching about info on the VE. And found more here.
Then my brother wanted some fog lights for his Fairmont ba and some guys pointed me in the right direction

You will find a lot of us came across from fordforums.com.
I was originally really nervous in joining the old site, as I have a project car and had questions to ask, but was a little scared that as a girl joining such a forum, I would be laughed down.

This is a fantastic place though, you'll be addicted to it in no time!!

I joined this site when I bought my TX5. That's all I was really interested in, but have had a read here and there just out of curiousity.

Now I've got a WRX, but hang here mostly because I can't read what a lot of people post on the WRX forums and I can't afford mods so not much point giving myself ideas!

Welcome Ford_Boy, I bought a new Fiesta and pretty much just stumbled across this site one day when surfing the net.

As for posting pics, resize them to about 800x600 max and upload them to a hosting site like http://www.tinypic.com/ copy and paste the hyperlink that the site creates into your post on this FordForums using the "Insert Hyperlink" toolbar in the "Reply to Post" and presto.

At the time Team GT had it plastered all over their race cars. So while at Hidden Valley, I looked it up. And here I am!

"Google is your BEST Friend" !

I have joined a few Forums , one is a Holden Forum , only small compared to this one because it caters for only 2 models . I have one Holden , a 1959 FC race car , but it is very friendly & has a massive amount of information for that car .

My Grandfather had an "A Model" Ford plus a couple of other models , my Father had mostly Fords in his lifetime , the last being an XB 1974 Futura (which I now have since he passed away) , I've had mostly Fords since 1970, so I Googled " Ford + Forum + Australia " and here I am :

All the other Forums I joined just had nothing to offer like these two , so the old story goes "When You're On A Good Thing , Stick To It"

If you have and Addiction , eg. Booze , Gambling , Drugs , Smokes etc. there's always somewhere you can go to kick the Habit ,.....BUT.... like 99.99% of people on here WE ARE ADDICTED and there's NO cure :

Welcome to the the Addicts of AFF .... Ford_Boy. : : : :

I migrated with the rest of us from the .com site.

Back in the days with only an IP address. I still remember the thread that bought me to AFF. It was titled "Well I am out of here..."
