Hello guys,
Thought I'd make a thread for the best Falcon ads you think that were made, these were my favorite ads: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kd2mMa0KqE and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KA6O1KUg9M (they forgot the 'ugliest ever', but anyway ) What are yours? |

The EA Falcon launch ad, appropriately rising out of a lake like a boat anchor.

I believe the basics for that ad were shot in a studio in Port Melbourne then the computers took over. |

I loved this ad. Made me a Ford man front and centre...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l3KtRZzA9w Was there an extended version of the ad? I remembered seeing it on the Ford New Faces with Burt Newton.

I bought it as the company I worked for at the time had a really good deal going.
It was the countless hours I spent at the exhaust shop that ticked me off. The exhaust shop was really good as they donated some of their time to also replicate the sound. This was 10+ years ago and the owner still remembers me as "that guy with the XR8 ute" lol! I even went to the extent of asking fraud what exhaust they had on it and was told it was stock :p looking back at it now I still feel like a tool. Sent from my SM-N9005

BA Falcon 'can't get enough of this' . Still get chills watching it, the ad is that good, even more than a decade later. Always dreamed of being the blonde guy cruising along at breakneck speed , one hand held outside the driver's window. Surely this ad would be illegal in this day and age as it seems to depict spirited driving (aka reckless , dangerous, hoon driving in Australian legalese) on a public road. Bring back the good old days. Anything Ford or anything in this country or world for that matter post-2006 has just gone downhill.

I couldn't find the BA walking fingers ad in google.
Maybe Ford were so ashamed they deleted it. |

That horrible ad was FG, not BA. They probably got sued by Yellow Pages for infringing on one of their key logos. Ford Aus lost the plot when Geoff Polites left, and never regained it. The last straw was the pathetic 'Go Further' campaign, starring a suicidal, distressed man raising his hands in some despair/surrender pose at the edge of the cliff, maybe it was Ford Aus describing their real feeling about having no direction..

Anyone recall a TV ad for the AU ute (must have been a one tonner), where a bloke in a country town wished for it and it appeared.
He then wished for V8 option and got that too, after which his mate said "you couldn't wish for anything more", and then a pallet of VB fell out of the sky and onto the ute tray. Can't seem to see it on youtube though? |

The AU XR8 racing the rocket ad is by far the best Falcon ad ever (also going by the amount of likes here) followed by the BA can't get enough of this.

Forgot how good some of these ads were, i like the XR8 ute ones and the 'cant get enough of this' one also. The good times where Ford were proud to showcase their performance models, where you could show spirited driving, or someone actually enjoying driving. Two blokes in a big grunty V8, it was what many of us aspired to. They really lost the plot and i doubt I have seen an even vaguely interesting or creative ad in the last 10 years since those ones for the BA-BF were realeased.

My favourite was and is the BA MK2 XR8 Unbelievable pulling power ad.
