Default Lw Mkii Drl

so... it looks like the actual LEDs are there on the car, but they don't stay on in "auto" mode.

any idea how to get them to work as proper DRL?

What do you mean?

If it has DRLs they should turn on as soon as the car is started.. As soon as you turn the headlights on they turn off.

I thought DRL's were deleted on MKII with the executive pack.

hi,

that's the point, they were deleted in the MKII, but it looks like the actual LEDs are there, but only come on when the lights are on.

so i'm wondering if there's a simple thing that i can do the make them work as DRLs.

They have probably been wired up as parking lights as opposed to DRLs in the MKII. In that case, you'll have to drive with the parkers on.

Thats interesting. You may need to find the part no. of the headlight assembly and see if it is the same as the German built ones. If it is the same then the next step will be to check the connector to see which wire lights up the led parkers and what the voltage is and compare it to the car with drl's.
My car has Drl's if you want I can check the voltage (parker / drl) and see if there is a difference. Let me know.

Checked the d/s headlight in my car, only the last letter is different. Its a G instead of a H. BM51-13D154-BG. If only we could get our hands on a wiring diagram.
