so... it looks like the actual LEDs are there on the car, but they don't stay on in "auto" mode.
any idea how to get them to work as proper DRL? |

What do you mean?
If it has DRLs they should turn on as soon as the car is started.. As soon as you turn the headlights on they turn off. I thought DRL's were deleted on MKII with the executive pack.

hi,
that's the point, they were deleted in the MKII, but it looks like the actual LEDs are there, but only come on when the lights are on. so i'm wondering if there's a simple thing that i can do the make them work as DRLs. |

They have probably been wired up as parking lights as opposed to DRLs in the MKII. In that case, you'll have to drive with the parkers on.

so, i think the part number for the driver's side assembly is BM51-13D154-BH
is that right? |

Checked the d/s headlight in my car, only the last letter is different. Its a G instead of a H. BM51-13D154-BG. If only we could get our hands on a wiring diagram.
