The Japanese also have vending machines selling used undies, and like to eat toxic jellyfish.
My dad used to work as Sales Manager for National Panasonic. Some of their offerings included a radio designed to be worn as a bracelet (that was 20cm across and weighed around 5kg. Another that weighed similar, but came in a rubber sock and was designed to be worn around the neck.
