Evening all,
I encountered another annoying issue with my gearbox on the way home this evening. It is as if it went into limp home mode because it stayed in 3rd. I turned the car off and back on again and the problem went away. It may have been unrelated, but early into this trip it also lost all power and rpm for a split second and gave me quite a shunt. Anyones thoughts on this would be great. |

Firstly, check your fluid level..
Also, it could possibly be inhibitor switch on the side of the gearbox...

Also, another thing ive discovered but dont want to start a new thread about, is my passenger side rear wheel has massive camber bias. To the point of looking at it from behind the car its: Pas. side: / Driver side: | . Ive heard of IRS AUs doing this, whats the solution? |

cheap and easy "fix" for inhibitor switch is to pull the plug off, spray both plug ends with compressed air and then a squirt of WD40 and plug it back in.

What does the inhibitor switch actually do? Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'd like to know.
