Greetings All.
This is my first post of many to come. I've taken on the roll as the FTF's Promotion Officer & I'm Keen to get all the Members of the Club involved in helping me sell & promote the Club.
This is easier than you think. The Club has a Meeting on the first Friday of every Month & it would be great to see you there as a participant. These Meetings give you all the opportunity to have a voice in what type of events you would like to do & get involved in the Clubs decision making process. Don't be afraid of a bit of politics or having an opinion that some don't like. This what we need if the Club is going to grow & move forwards.
The Bowling Club has good secure Parking & has agreed to let us have our meals in the Clubs meeting room. This will allow all of us to better socialise with each other & help get the Meetings started on time.
At the last committee Meeting we discussed having raffles to help raise some funds for our Charities & the Club plus other ways to make the Meetings more fun. The Club now has a fantastic web master so the Clubs web site is now up to date. All the up coming events are on the events page which should give you time to plan & come on the runs. There is a Club profile that gives you the chance to show off your Car ( yourself & Business etc )
To date the Club has 30 odd Members on our books yet we don' see you. I feel that you all have a lot to offer so come along.

Hopefully we can get everyone revved up.
There's a good run coming up on the 16th of August up to the Australian Reptile Park. It's less than 2 hours to get there & plenty of Critter's to check out.

We just need to everyone out of Bed & join in.

Great to hear from you. It's understandable that the distance is a hurdle. Besides the Reptile Park, there are some other events coming soon that are up your way.
Hopefully this makes it easier for you to participate.

Our Club is currently in the process of Sussing out Shirts, Jackets etc ourselves. Were trying to find Merchandise that is more suitably priced. Currently our shirts are about $ 70.00

We have heard that another Club is only charging around $ 40.00 so when I get some more info I'll pass it on

I live in Auburn, but my extended family are all up there, so we would probably be up there already, so we will meet you there.

Most of my dramas with getting out with the club is balancing free time with my two little boys.

I know I and that many other members have the same ballancing act with time, and this is why this club also considers family style events to be an important part of the event calander. In this way we get our family's together, into an extended family, and have fun.

The more the merrier, and we always like to see new faces, as well as the regulars. So gather them all up, and let's all get together...

It's good to hear some of us getting on & Chatting.
If we could get a lot more people on Board it would be fantastic.
I'm enjoying the Family attitude so keep it going.

I think using social media for a chat and a laugh should be done more so, encourage the use of chatting on here. People who are browsing club pages will see the posts and see that this is a club with lots of fun/banter etc etc

I could not agree more.

Although I have to admit that it's taken a bit of trial & error to Suss out how to use it.

For example it took me a while to work out that my picture goes in the " Avatar " & not the picture profile.

I think a lot of the Members don't get on because they don't know how to use it.

The Committee has discussed holding a info night at one of the Club meetings, so I think we should make this a priority.

It was fantastic to see everyone at the General Meeting Last Night. It was the best meeting we've had for a long time.

Everyone appreciated the effort that was made to provide the Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate & Bickies.

The Club being allowed to have Meals in the Meeting room has made it a lot more Sociable & easier to talk to each other.

There was a lot of positive feed back from everyone & a good Atmosphere, everybody seemed to enjoy themselves.

Our webmaster made a great effort to demonstrate how to use the Club Web site & the Ford Forums.

I'm looking forwards to the up coming events.

It was a great day at the Reptile Park. There where lots of Critters to see & the BBQ was smashing.
The effort to drag the Club Trailer along was worth it. We set up Banners & Flags to promote the Club & our sponsors.
I'm confident that everyone at the Reptile Park knew we were there.

Our next Club event will be to Berkshire Park. Go to the Club events for more details.

It would be fantastic to see more of our Members come along. The rest of us could use your support with promoting the Club.

We are making huge efforts to increase our profile on social media to help raise interest in our Club & are looking Forwards to bringing in some new members.

Great event Jeff, the kids loved the Crocodiles.

I might even try and push for non car families to join in for future events, Perhaps they pay 5 bucks or something for the sausage sizzle, more people, more fun

There is always room for non members at events. If they don't have a ride there is usually room in one of the members Cars.
If they have a good time, they will tell people about it & this raises awareness for the Club.
Some of the Members end up going by themselves & would probably welcome some company especially for the Mystery Tours.

That is certainly true. Always better to have someone to talk to, and if we have another treasure trail, then two or more heads are required, to work things out whilst you are driving...
