Earlier today i went in to my local ford dealer. Mum was actually going to by a Focus. She had a friends of ford offer givin to her by a friend. After waiting to be served some time we were informed we could only buy a Falcon or Terri, fair enough. Mum said out loud you can use it to buy a falcon which i was looking at at the time.
The bloke seemed so un interested in us i had to ask for help. I was very interested in the Ecoboost Falcon so i asked if they had one. He said yeah this is it. The car he pointed at was a Modeo. I repeated Falcon thanks and he wasnt sure which car it was so i found it. So i left and plan to try another dealer tommorow. But i was very dissapointed. Also for mum as the Freinds of ford letter didnt state only aussie built cars but fair enough. Worth noting we were the only people in the dealer ship there was alot of staff around and we walked around the lot for 15 minutes in the rain looking at cars before we asked for assistance. Also we where going to buy a car as well.

well people seem concerened about fords sales here is part of the problem. As a ford forum i thought it would be usefull.

****** service should be brought to peoples attention or how do you expect it to ever get any better. I went into my local dealer when the focus RS was being sold and the service was that bad i ended up buying a different car from another manufacterer. Product knowledge sells cars and if the salesman didnt no anything about an ecoboost falcon then he doesnt deserve the business

That is what i thought. Dont get me wrong i love Ford and i hate the way it is going that is why i want to buy a falcon. I tried to get mum on board but she needs a smaller car.

I've been reading similar stories all over the internet regarding the service from Ford dealerships.
Ford Australia would do well, to have someone review feedback such as this, and educate their dealer network. In my opinion, this is a very very widespread problem, for whatever reason. Ford Australia.......... ARE YOU LISTENING...............

Gspek, we love our Fords, but we don't love everyone in the supply chain.
Name the dealer. Hopefully someone on here will help filter it back. Treating customers like **** is not going to do Ford any good. I've had a bad experience too, but then it got followed up by a good one. Not sure where you are, but I found Q Ford in Springwood Brisbane to be very good |

I truly don’t believe this story!! No sales person at a Ford dealer won’t know the difference between a Falcon & a Mondeo.. Come on, give us a break!! It is simple, he points to the Mondeo, you say, "that is a Mondeo, I want a Falcon", problem solved.

Sorry joe5619 i aint lieing. It was an ecoboost mondeo i assumed he wasnt listening. It wasnt just that they guy wasnt interested at all. And he didnt know which falcon was the ecoboost one.
i was warned that this dealer wasnt the best but they are very local so i tried them my fault should have gone else where. Courtney and patterson heidleberg vic. I didnt want to name them but since i have been asked i may as well warn people.

haha I had a similar experience with that dealer when I was looking for the GT. waited to get served for sometime and ended up chasing someone down, only to instantly get handed off to someone else. when I finaly got someone, I asked about he GT over in the corner, "what GT he says", "That bright orange one" I reply - pointing at it, Thats not a GT he says, Thats an F6! WTF??????? Long story short, took them 4 days to get back to me with PRICE....NO SALE!

toyota dealers aren't much better, if at all - or is this just a ford bashing site
p.s. i have never, ever been to see a holden dealer so cannot give 1st hand experience, but from what i have heard . . . . . . . |
