Remember to hand back the keys to the test car, I was so excited when I got mine I took off with them still in my pocket!
No mobile phones back then, so it took them hours to track me down. |

Just got back home, with a pass on my licence !
I ended up getting 1 critical error.. It was stupid on my behalf as he told me "On the 2nd street, turn right" LMAO! I ended up pulling into the cop station witch he thought was hilarious and was laughing all the way back to Victroads lol. It was at the very end of the test too lol. Other then That, he said it was an almost perfect pass and he was happy about handing me my licence. Yay, thanks for the support AFF! |

Congratulations.
Just be aware that now is when you will start to actually learn to drive. This is how it works: Every morning every other person in the world has a meeting and one is selected to try and kill you. They may be in another vehicle or set a trap like gravel on the road or make it rain or let down one of your tyres or just ring you on your mobile while you are driving. Your mission is to spot the trap and avoid it. Have fun........ |

I had to do my 3 point turn backing toward a storm water canal. The assessor grabbed for the handbrake just before I started to reverse, freaked me out, and I stalled it.
She failed me for that.

when i went for my manual license i went in my xr8 ute which i drove out by myself in LOL then put p plate on the accessor came out and said which car i said that one he luaghed and said this will be interesting, while i drive round in 3rd gear through town he said whats the fuel bill like i said oh yeah not bad he said well if you put into 4th it would be better i said yeah it will have stauled due to not going fast enough with proper revs that'll save me and for that remark he said ok lets do a reverse park in the centre of town in small crappy parks which i nailed then he said ok go up here do a 3 point turn that was hard it was a 5 point turn we went back to the transport centre and he said well for your driving you passed for you attitude towards instructors you failed misserably, i thought that was very precise judgement LOL the moral of the story when going for ya license be courtious to the instructor, drive round in 4th everywhere, no laughing at anytime bloody clipboard baygest combovers take the fun out of everything

Congrats on passing & the job
my partner on his test had a bus come through a give way sign on him. He braked hard (as you would) and was instantly failed by his instructor. I wanted to know what they wanted him to do exactly? Hit it? Get a free ride in an ambulance? Perhaps a posthumous pass on his licence? And I believe that tool is still a tester at richmond nsw.

I don't think I was the only cause and this is the honest truth, my driving instructor died of a heart attack not long after my last lesson and driving test R.I.P. I passed first go by the way and back then many of the instructors vehicles (including his) were fitted with passenger steering controls as well as a set of pedals
Congrats on getting your licence too, drive safely |
