Mate if you find 1 buy it, as they are getting rare to find here. In the US there going for big sum as muscle car prices have gone through the roof! :eclipsee_

What are they worth? What someone will pay basically ...

A AMI-assembled '72 Javelin with 401, auto, p/s, p/b, a/c and RHD .. in very good condition would still only probably be low $20K at most (unfortunately). At the moment a friend of mine is selling a '71 Javelin AMX (360/auto) which is a very rare car in the USA, for $13.5K (needs work). A couple of years ago he sold a good running '71 Javelin AMX 401 4-speed (VERY rare car) for about the same price .. and a '69 AMX (1-of-24) for about $7K .. also needing work. I've seen a few "early" (68-70) and "late" (71-74) Javelins going for between $7K and $15K usually, but most need some work or another.

AMC ponycars are very undervalued at the moment. Which is good for buyers, but makes a bit of a dilemma for owners 'cos if they sink a lot of money into them they won't get it back ...

[ BTW: AFAIK AMI-assembled '72s all had 401s. If this one has a 360 then it might be a replacement. The 360 is easier to get parts for (same as local Jeeps), but the forged crank 401 is a "better" engine. ]

Anyway I'm a member of the AM Javelin Register of Australia, so PM me if you want more info. Also checkout this new website which was setup independantly of our club, but is being annexed by us
