Default Ok, so I'm off to....Heathcote?!?

Ah yes, I hear you all say. young Naish is travelling once again, and once again a patented thread is produced on AFF!
Most will probably already know I am making a trip to Heathcote for the AFF drag nats. I will give a quick run-down now for those who want some fill-in info.
I will be flying out on Friday, 12.10 adelaide time and arriving at Tullamarine airport at 1.55pm melbourne time. Whoosha has gladly arranged to be my chaffeur. from there i actually have no idea what i will be doing, pretty sure we need to make a stop over at Whoosha's, but im not sure. but then, its on to Heathcote and DRAGS!!

already the dramas have started. my damn phone has just given up the ghost; this means a steady update might not be entirely possible, but if i can get access to an iphone or laptop, i will and i will update. otherwise i will do it all when i come back.

Greg(xalent) has kindly agreed to carry my Swag and sleeping bag over, this is due to the fact im a Povvo and can't afford the baggage fees on Tiger Airlines. this means i wont freeze at heathcote overnight. im already cheating the system by wearing 3 jumpers and two pairs of pants on the plane. ill take the jumpers off and stuff them in my backpack once im on the plane, then put them on again at heathcote. Genius!

ive got 300 dollars to blow; mainly on booze but food and entry costs too. if i come back with change, ill be surprised. this should be a fun trip, i have never been to a drag nats before, and ill get plenty of photos and TRY to update the thread here as much as possible! until then feel free to leave a comment, say hello or give me hints and tips. i made the thread a few days early as i dont get much time on the computer at home, and i might not be able to do it again before i go.

so, heres to Number 3.
cheers,
Naish.

Would love to be coming with you Naish and meeting a whole heap of the other forum regulars from here. Also, would love to be over there getting drunk too, last time we got smashed was a blast - even if I did have to bust myths! :P

Alas, finances don't really permit it at this stage.

Have a great time and enjoy yourself!

Just do it after you've checked in. A bit more comfortable getting changed at the airport rather than in the toilet in the plane, especially if it's the one up the front behind the cockpit.
Have fun at the drags!

What time did he pass out Whoosha? I sent him an SMS at 10pm and he didn't reply.

The youth of today just can't hold their alcohol :P :P :P

Meanwhile, I'm slightly hungover, being 30 and drinking like I used to sort of hits me a bit harder these days!

Mean while back at the Tiger Bunker it would appear that 44 mins before your flight is not quite early enough after 15 mins in the queue they then tell you bad luck you missed out, read your ticket it"s 45 min. So the young one from SA gets to spend a night at the airport waiting for the next flight out off town @ 530am so any one at Tulla central who sees a lonely, sad looking skinny fellow aimlessly wondering around say G"day to Iggy

Well we were track side with a nice little fire happening and were informed that it was time to have a rest break as you do when 3/4 of your slab off JB has been consumed as it was only 1145 pm we thouht he would be rite back after a hour we decided to go look for him as he is prone to wandering off and getting lost , only to find him all tucked into to his swag punching out ZZZZZZZZ Some discussion was had what to do with him
#1 on the list was dragg him and swag to the burn out pad and leave him there (lost again) #2 put him face down on the VHT on the starting line to see how stuck he would be if and when he wakes up .#3 and the winner, as we had a garage to camp in fire up Kevs ute in full race trim ,as most who know the ute will testify that if makes your ears bleed and small children cry I imagine owe surprise after 2 minuets of short sharp revs still know life to be had , it wasn"t till 800am the next morning till some form of life emerged from said swag
