Looking forward to this.
But im already sick of the 'too many door's, not enough cylinders' blah blah blah. Copped it when the MK3 ST came out. Im a very avid fan of the Volvo 5 Cylinder turbo, id own another no worries at all, they are bullet proof and sound wicked. But times have changed and EcoBoost is here. But yeah i cant wait to see what Ford do with the new RS

Somethings wrong with that article. Carsguide didn't mention the ford factory was shutting in 2016. Is that a first?

Wouldn't it be interesting if instead of the 2.3 Ecoboost it came with the 2.7? Might be a bit heavy but so too is the Focus these days.

The Feb Microcat update has the LZ Focus ST catalogue in it, the engine pull down tab includes 2.3 Ecoboost (350PS) as one of the choices. Exciting times.

Be interesting to see what prices we get, that last gen (awesome car) still goes for $40k+ five years on.

The $64 question: will the RS be AWD?

Is this an all new chassis? If not then Id be surprised, maybe they would wait for a full redesign?

Same chassis as ST, but i think it will have revo knuckle from last gen and TVC. In early spy pics you could see a hub bolt in the rear wheel so that leads me to AWD. If it is it will be a revolution lol. Also EVo UK mag claiming 250BHP

The global C chassis still has access to AWD from Kuga though.

What will be interesting is the price.
Given a Mustang 5.0 will be somewhere from $60-70k will they make the RS come in lower? Different segments perhaps but surely they wouldnt make it to similar to the Mustang price?

Not normally. 250 hp seems a lot short of the 305 that the mk2 had and 350ps listed in the parts catalogue
