Default Help with Torque wrench for au front hub nut

Changing hub on wife's AU and need a torque wrench capable of 300nm or 225 lbt to tighten it up to specs .

Is there anywhere you can hire one ? I've found 1 place for $100 , Could probably import one for that .

Cheers . Am located in western Sydney , seven hills

If you mark the distance the nut is in on the thread you can just tighten it up with a Breaker bar and youd be fair close to the right torque

Yeah That's not a bad idea if I can't find a hire place . Maybe mark it and max out my 150 unit and breaker bar till mark , least that way I know it's 150 min

I'm looking for one myself. Best I've found is around the $180 mark.

I've got a good breaker bar and 1.5m pipe , so no issue tightening it . Just I've read of failures from incorrectly torqued nuts .

Granted this method won't torque the nut to exactly 300nm, but will something go horribly wrong if you tighten the pac nut (or hub nut) to say 280Nm when the spec calls for 300Nm?
