Just got a quick question for Ghia leather trim owners: when the woodgrain spears on the doors are removed, are there any holes or markings in the leather door cards underneath? How are they attached? I'm guessing they're screwed into the door card?
I'm after a set of charcoal leather front door trims. Would prefer XR as they're exactly as I want them, but it seems there are a fair few more Ghia ones available out there. I'm not too keen on the woodgrain spears, so just wondering if when you remove them they look like non-Ghia trims, or are there drill holes/markings underneath? If there is holes, I guess I can just re-paint the wood grain bits black to match the rest of the interior. Thanks in advance, Chris

If i got them i'd be thinking of going with a matte black finish. I quite like the carbon fibre wrap look, but would want to do some other interior bits and pieces too to get it all to match better, so probably just go with the painting.
With the lights in the door, would they be a straight plug and play into the existing connectors in the doors? Cheers

This is what I did to mine as I wanted something different.
Had them done by Modicoat but you could paint them as well. Mabye this will give you some idea on what you want to do.
