Question What's the going rate?

Just wondering what the going rate is for people lending their services/cars to a wedding.

I need some help as to how much to offer without offending people.

What would you expect if it was you?

Cheers

If its just a forum member, then I dare say they would be happy with some pictures of their car.

Personally I would be after a 4 course meal :P

Having done a couple of wedding for friends and forum members, the last thing I want is cash, as I am just happy to help out.

I let my car be used for nothing. I spent hours preping it for the pictures too.

I supose, if anything it might be fair for someone to conribute to getting the car all cleaned up?

Other than that, do it for nothing. I might need a favour one day, its all swings and roundabouts.

Aren't you married yet? I remember reading about this wedding mid last year

If it were me, like Laminge, I'd be happy with a seat at the Reception!

Nice meal, good perv ;)

Cheers, and have a great day :

Depending on the type of car, service provided etc, expect to part with anything between $70 to $150 per hour. Also budget for around a three hour minimum.

Cheers, Danny

I used to be in the hire car industry and these prices are quite reasonable. If you were to hire a Super Stretch limo seating any more than six people you would be parting with a lot more than that.

A wedding might be fun for the people there, however, for hire car driver it just plain work. Do you exploit your employer by expecting to be paid for working?

Now that depends on whether I'm employed to do a hire car job or asked to do a favour for a friend.

Yes I exploit my employers to pay me accordingly the same as they exploit my labour!!!!!!!!

A Carton/Free Grog at the reception would do me nicely!
Depends on if it is a company supplying cars, or just a mate...

a case of beer and fuel (includes fuel gettin to the event) and i think most ppl on here would be up for that, mabey even just the fuel. Personaly when my car has a v8 and its new paint job i will be honered if somebody thought my car was good enough to be at their wedding and in there wedding shots which they will keep forever so long as they pay for my fuel.

I think the OP is looking for favours from forum members with well presented cars and is wondering what they would have to offer to get them interested - whether it be money, fuel, alcohol, food or a bridesmaid.

u cant get cash for doing a wedding with your own car unless its a business many ppl have been caughty out as the rta can inspect the car whilst during the wedding and if u dont have the proper documentation u will get fined.. so dont ask for money just do it free of charge and hey hope they chuck in a slice of the cake for u

You will also find that most insurance companies will void your insurance if you use the vehicle for reward OF ANY KIND, food, alcohol, cash whatever as its considered being used for business. So just be careful of that.

I dropped some guy i know's sister to her year 10 formal in the XW, he gave me $50, it took about an hour, it took about half hour to clean the car and the car is thirsty, but I was pretty happy with that.

Have had some offers from a couple of people on here to drive at my wedding. Am just trying to get in touch with them, but also have an idea of what to offer them as thanks for their efforts....so cheers for the input guys.

Oh and I can fully understand the $70 + figure if I was paying a professional wedding car company, but as a favour.....not sure. I don't mind paying say $100 to cover fuel and maybe chuckin in some beers and piccies.

Don't ask these guys, they'll ask for tyre money not petrol money, and you'll be asked to pay the road resurfacing fine the next day.

Cost of a mini detail (couldn't be buggered doing it myself) and a couple of photos from the photographer is all I ask.
