Default 2005 RACV vehicle operating costs

http://motoring.racv.com.au/racvm/wh...escription.cfm

Quote:
RACV calculates vehicle operating costs for a number of popular new vehicles. These figures are intended as a guide for private motorists who wish to know how much it may cost them to own and operate a particular model. The calculations include the cost of financing the vehicle, as well as operating costs including scheduled services, registration, insurance, fuel, tyres, etc.

Total Average cost per week
Ford Falcon BA XT petrol - $206.44
Ford Falcon BA XT LPG - $200.77

mmm not much difference there, I think id rather pay the measly $6 a week and keep petrol thankyou very much.

That's fair enough though as it is a cost to the purchaser, even if you keep it forever you still suffer through your insurance replacement value.
