Hi Guys, I have looked thru the forums but can't seem to find a similar problem.
I just bought a AUI Falcon and it has problems accelerating on the road. It does 0 to 60 in like a minute. It has no problem idling and revs very well in neutral, just very bad acceleration under load on the road. I have replaced the leads and plugs, cleaned the ISC, and reset the computer. Anyone got any ideas as I am stuck for ideas now. Cheers |

How many kms have you done? Is this your TL50, or a Falcon 6 cyl?
Could be an oxy sensor problem?

The car has done 183000kms (service sticker reads 190000 for next service), and this is not my TL (sif I'd have problems with that...) but a Falcon I bought for the wife.

Fuel pump, fuel filter, ECU (at a stretch)
Start with the simple stuff. Spark Air Fuel If you can eliminate those then its likely to be something electrical. Does the car drive an different NOW to when you TEST drove it before buying? If so, how many k's have passed since you bought it? The service sticker probably only relates to oil and filter - so everything else is anyones guess. Might be a silly question - but is it dual fuel?

Stuffed cat converter.
Blocked or crushed exhaust. Badly adjusted throttle cable. Handbrake partially locked on. |

If its an auto....may be it worth giving the box a service once you have done every think mentioned above....good luck mate!!!

Thanks for your help.
Took it to the Mechanics, put his computer on it. Had to replace Coil Pack and it was split in 3 places, a sensor off the manifold as it was not working at all, fuel filter the old one had never been replaced since new, and the fuel pump. All sweet now. Now for roadworthy and look at stereo's to put in it. |

thats good usage out of the fuel filter it supposed to be changed at 100,000
