Default What "how to" book?

I want to get a Car Manual, gregorys etc etc

But unsure which one I should get. Anyone know the most informative one for a AUI.
thanks in advance.

Haynes is the better of the aftermarket workshop manuals and it covers AU1 to AU111. There is usually a few on ebay.
cheers
Bill.

Haynes is easier to follow, but Gregory's is more comprehensive - just hard to find stuff! I have both, and use both regularly, but have had the haynes one for ages and it only deals with AU1 (my version, anyway). I needed the Gregory's one for the AU2, as it points out wiring colour differences etc that were driving me nuts!!!.

Thanks fellas for the kind words, and Daniel for even attempting a song! LOL!

In all honesty, I don't have much of a mechanical mind, just do what I can to keep the service costs down and help a few others out on the way if possible.

I get lots of ideas from what others say about how to fix something, then do it and just add pictures that's all.

BTW, why hasn't anyone mentioned the Max Ellery edition?

Cheers,

GK

I did, but called it the Gregory's one. I have both the Hayne's and the Ellery one, NOT the Gregory's!

If you found it, how is it missing? LOL. I reckon the Haynes was just updated from the EL manual. Some shots are definitely EL, but supposed to be AU.

In my experience, you'd be better off trying to guess what you're doing than refer to a Max Ellery manual. : Gregory's aren't too bad for the price.

your entitled to your opinion, i already had the hayes, and found it didnt have much information for doing rebuilds on the auto or the power steering, i havent seen the gregorys au falcon version so i cant comment, i have too say there were some good top diagrams in the technical section on the ford forum( good job fellas)
