Morning all,
It appears that the song "Skaife's LaRent" at www.myspace.com/blueprint distortion was taken in the wrong spirit with which it was meant. For that I apologise. As you would know, the accuracy of anything reported in the media is always questionable - as is the case with how Skaife's financial situation was reported. See the following extract: Skaife said the talks with Walkinshaw had been going for weeks. The driver's management had earlier denied the 41-year-old was forced to sell his home because of financial problems. "It's disappointing that our negotiations were inaccurately reported just as we were reaching agreement in the best interests of Holden Racing Team," Skaife said. The confidential agreement clears any debt Skaife had with the team, and ensures that he will remain as an ambassador for the Holden Racing Team and the Holden marque in general. The song is simply having a laugh about something that was obviously not entirely true - hence my belief that it can be laughed at. Whilst I personally believe that some have been a little too quick to take the moral high-ground on a misinformed basis - I respect their opinions and therefore apologise to anyone that took the song the wrong way. For anyone with a lighter outlook on the game we call life, the song's still there - but if you're easily offended, it may not be to your taste. PS. I don't make money from these songs. I previously had a heap of songs posted on the Marcos Ambrose site a few years back. They were burnt on to a CD and sold by the Canberra & Newcastle branches of a Ford Car Club with all proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House. So please don't think I post these songs for any financial gain - they're purely to try and make people laugh, and sometimes they end up helping a worthy cause. |

Good on you mate.
Nothing wrong with a bit of a laugh. I still remember your ambrose song from long back and thought it was awesome. Keep chugging away, your talent will get you somewhere eventually.
