Default Is this more collectible than a t series?

http://carsales.mobi/cars/photogalle...945537&index=2

http://carsales.mobi/cars/details/?R...r=73&trecs=268

An xr6t ea? From the factory!!! Who would have thought. 1 of 25 made and only $9000

I think its legit too. I remember an old magazine with it in there. I thoughr it was a svo falcon.

Should t series owners add this to their portfolio? it should be worth $25-30k

More 'collectable' in the sense that they are much rarer, but worth more I really doubt it. It's still an EA and would carry the EA curse of never being wanted by anyone or worth anything.

It's over 20 years old, 185,000 kays is perfectly reasonable for such an old girl. Any less miles than that and it would be worse off for it.

Im not trying to bait anyone. Just associating it to something we as a community consider collectible. So dont take offence t series owners, just friendly jest. Please keep the discussion on this particular car

i think 'from the factory' is stretching the facts a little... it certainly was not turbo when it left the ford factory.

to me its no different to the phase falcons from the 80s, or the moffat special in the e series.

id still like it, 270kw in one of the lightest shells ford put a falcon badge on has to be a heap of fun.

Hard to defend you this time HULK. This is a blatant swipe at T-series cars.

In b4 lock.

Interesting. 270kw @ 6psi out of the 3.9 mpfi in the late 80s. I wont say its impossible, but geez.

Well, it is collectible for those that like collecting EA I6 turbos. Problem is, there is only one or two people in the country that fit that bill, hence the "cheap" $9k asking price. My prediction is this car won't sell any time soon at that price, and it's final price will be more reflective of it's EA-ness than it's 1 of 25-ness.

A T series on the other hand - huge market, very collectible, especially in T3 or Pursuit ute form, because they are a great car.

Come on fella its new years. I have thick skin so lets all undo our top button.

Its an interesting car in my book. 270kw seems like a bit of an embellishment of the truth. Maybe 170kw

I know I know. Its an extreme exaggeration to sit it at a table with a t series. In any respect.

170? lol n/a it would have 150ish... 270 wouldnt be too far off i dont think, if its all well tuned.
plenty of e series turbos getting round these days with much more than 200rwkw.
270 would be what 220ish at the wheels? not unlikely at all imo.

For this "interesting read" I blame the 1 -2 people who bravely defend every one of HULK's stupid topics

But for the sake of adding something and popping the ego of some AU owners at the same time, T-series are only valuable to a very small bunch of people who love AU's more than new cars.

The rest of the population wouldnt know what a T-series is, nor would they pay any more than 10% of the typical carsales asking price

Nothing wrong with the force 6 or 8 nameplate. They are a GT or F6 just more upspec. If anything should command a premium over a GT or F6.

Cant compare these babies with a T-series. Why are T-Series Rare? isnt it because noone actually bought them, they were not limited run at all.
just found this in another thread. his just bored. dont poke it people

I had a new EA S Pack the same colour Silver Slate (not Silver Gold as stated in ad). I remember AIT being active in forced induction but I've never heard of any Falcons with a factory install. There was a factory S model (non forced induction) that was supplied to a few racers. It had a few tweeks to make it go quicker and handle better, but if you ask Ford they will say it never existed. I think the Youldens had one.
