Yeah I have done it a few times with our old EF, but the novilty of it wears off quick. It also switched back when I turn off the car, so it only took 3-4 days before I never tried it again lol.

Yes the buffered and unbuffered level fluctuate - the guage itself uses the value it shows.

I use this all the time on the RPM / Speedo setting. I also had a coolant sensor prob recently so since I fixed it I've been running it on that screen. Works very well I really like it.

You can make it go back to the normal mode by holding the trip button in for 10s.

i try this every now and then, it will last around 10-15 min on my futura, the only problem is that the oil pressure does not work, does it work for anyone else.

unbuffered is a pure signal from the level sensor in the tank, meaning that it will change whenever you gown up or down a hill or round a corner or accelerate...this woyuld make your fuel guage go all over the place...buffered just levels out all these factors and keep the guage at an even level...

Mine always stays on. Once it turned off on its own while I was driving. All the cluster bulbs go out then the guages all sweep to full scale then it goes back to normal. Worried me for a second.

I always keep it on the temp screen.
