Default Is synthetic Magnatec discontinued or changed name?

I had my car serviced today ($267 to change oil and filter and fit two clamps to stop exhaust heatshield rattling ) and requested Magnatec Synthetic and they used Edge 0W-40 instead. So is synthetic Magnatec discontinued or changed name or did the dealer just ignore my request?

The link shows regular Magnatec, not Synthetic. The synthetic stuff is/was only available in 20lt or 105lt drums.

When you click on the link for Lubes Guide and select XR6T it recommends Castrol Edge Sport 10W-60. It comes as no surprise that the dealer has no idea and uses the incorrect oil, and lies to me that the spare container with a couple of litres was left in my boot (I checked before I left the dealer and made them go and find some, after all I have paid for it). I think this is the last time my car is going to a dealer. Warranty is finished anyway plus car is modded so I really don't have any reason to go back there.

CASTROL EDGE SPORT 10W-60
Castrol Edge Sport 10W-60 is a full synthetic SAE 10W-60, API SM/CF, ACEA A3/B3/B4 engine oil which is race proven for highly stressed competition engines and older technology sports cars and luxury sedans. Its wide viscosity rating provides excellent start-up wear protection and superior engine protection under every condition of operation.

i was at a dealership and a customer had supplied Redline synthetic (expensive stuff). they forgot to put it in,filled it with normal mineral 20W-50, realised what they done so instead of draining it they tipped the redline into a container (which i bought for $10 :hihi: ) and put the empty container in his car to show it had been used. dealerships are as dodgey as backyarders sometimes.
