Default F6T (aka, the Turbonator) gets some upgrades. Praise be to BPR.

Once again, a big thank you to Theo, Chris and Ryan at BPR for the outstanding work on my Typhoon.

We had the Plazmaman 4" intake/battery kit installed feeding into a GTX3582r turbo, 82lb injectors, new cams, and the plazmaman plenum fitted on top of their previous work and instal on the car a few years back now.

At the same time, Theo fitted up my TEIN super streets and we had the car professionally set up/balanced too.

The Phoon is now producing circa 360rwkt and feels incredible.

I cannot recommend BPR any higher than I already have on previous occasions. I've been treated like family and the care taken together with the 'above and beyond' service/feedback/advice is, as always, very much appreciated and a huge comfort especially to me being an interstater.

Thanks again fellas.

I'll post up some pics of the engine bay when I get a chance over the weekend.

Great to hear mate, hows the car feel with the Tein set up?
You're not getting it prepared for another track day are you haha? Look forward to the pics.

Warning.

Excessive bling on hand.

Prior to observation of turbonator under bonnet photography, sunglasses must be donned.

The car is a credit to you Michael, the mix of components and the standard of presentation is first rate. While I may hang sheet on bling bling, and turbos, and cars with 2 cylinders less than 8 - there is no disputing the quality of components used in you vehicle. The package is straight from a turbo junkys wet dream. Engine, suspension with a dash of nightclub ambience thrown into the mix. It's one of my favourite cars as you know.

Blue LEDs FTW.

Just in your car

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm at work at the moment but will try and upload some pics tonight. It is definitely very bright under there.

Yesterday, I got to give her my first real test run. a 420km return trip up and down through the guts of Tassie. Had a new FG XR6T ute and a new model BMW M3 playing leap frog with me the whole way up (210kms). The Phoon was just too strong for them and straight line acceleration was brutal. The M3 driver was a mature driver but obviously, keen to have a bit of fun - but in the end, just shook his head and gave me the thumbs up and a shrugg of the shoulders. He just couldn't match it with the taxie turbonator.

I am very impressed with the GTX turbo. Even with rolling acceleration, get it on song from 4000rpm and you still get an aggressive shunt when you step on it. Just feels like it always got more to give.

TEX, you would be proud of me....I even got my traction control light to flicker like a bastard in 4th gear acceleration.

Todd, the TEINS have trasformed the car. They are the super streets so not too harsh at all but the car feels much more planted on the road and obviously, there is a big improvement on cornering at speed. She's lower and running about 2deg negative on the fronts. Apropos another track day - I'm coming out in a rash just thinking about it. Actually, I would be very curious to see how she goes now with the suspension and added power.

Theo/Chris, any chance of a dyno graph?? Perhaps with an overlay comparing the SCUD?

Poor old bloke

No way an M3 would run with a 360rwkw Typhoon on an open highway playing leap frog. Roll on, Bavarian car had no chance. Good to hear the FG turbo ute ran well, they definitely sound like they punch well above their weight, all the FG turbo cars do!

Flickering TC light tells me you were pressing on mate, nothing like the thrill of unleashing the powah!

Can't wait to try the Turbonator for myself.
