Maloo looks nice from the front. I wonder what the rear looks like. Though I doubt wheels will fill arches that well.

Ute looks pretty good, shame about the load factor. Wagon...no comment.

I like them both. The wagon seems to have the same lines as the 300C wagon.

The Maloo looks like a big improvement over the standard VE utes. I'd like to see the back though.

And the wagon looks like the best proportioned VE. I actually like it

The rear reminds me of the HRT Maloo ute..
Wagons are changing from what we knew them to be in the past.

Don't like either, the ute mainly. Very bulky and overdone, you can barely see it as a ute.

I like the wagon, looks quite good. But the ute does nothing for me at all, it just doesnt look right to me. But it still has the poxy alloytech, right? If so I still wouldnt look at one to buy.

Its a HSV Maloo Ute, it will hardly have an Alloytech!

As for the pics. I like the Ute, the angle makes it look shorter than it is, remember Ute is built on the LWB platform.

The wagon doesn't do it for me, it looks OK, will wait until I see it in person. VE Wagon is on SWB but it looks very long in that pic.

I thought they used the shorter commodore wheelbase for VE ute & wagon

To my eye, In these pix at least the ute looks a bit Suzuki mighty boy. You know a ute with room for a large eski.

The wagon looks great (Please henry don't strike me down).

Now if Orion project looks like that or will they continue the theme of not letting the designers of the front & back see what each other is doing.

Well I do like the wagon, much better proportioned to the sedan for some reason. THe maloo? There woulld have to be at least 5 body kits on that!!!! More fibreglass/plastic than metal.

The Maloo looks like a stereotypical bucktoothed asian you see in cartoons.

The wagon doesn't look too bad, no back space though?

The maloo looks like the inbred bastard child of a Jumbuck and a VE dunnydore... Christ I hope it looks like that, Orion could look like a cross between an EA and an AU and still look 20 times better...

The Wagon looks great.
If history serves correctly, the wagon will ask a $4-6k premium over the comparable sedan.

That means, that for a little over $50k, you could get:
6.0 V8
6 speed Manual
RWD
Space for the dog
Tow Bar
13 second car for the weekend (sedan does a 13.8)

That's damn good value if you ask me.
I was looking at a 300C CRD Wagon, or Forester XT as the next car - This will certainly be on the list!

The wagon looks good. The pic shows an SS so I wonder if the wagon will be available straight up in SS trim. The omega wagon like the sedan will still struggle with ride height though but will mainly be for a work horses and not a toy so it won't matter too much. Over all good proportions. I am liking where global wagon trends are heading. Will Ford follow suit? I hope so.

The Ute, well it does look like over kill but I still like what HSV have done with the VE so far. The R8/GTS range really do look the goods. I always notice them more than anything else when I am out and about these days. The Ute may look the same on the road. The Orion FPV range will need to be a bit out there as well anyway to compete in the looks department so we might have to get use to this type of image in the future. I did not fancy the racoon look at first, but now I am not so sure.

Why is the Maloo on a Holden presentation document? Surely there would have been HSV written somewhere else on this document other than on the car itself? Photo chop maybe???????

Maloo looks like a small farm utility made by Subaru or Suzuki??? many years ago. Think it was the farmboy or something like that. Long sloping rear sides

...I wonder what ford will be doing in 2-4 years time, The Falcon is still very workhorse, and the commodore wagon and utes seem to be taking on a more sports role. Good move considering many VU-Z's are slammed on big rims rather then a rolling toolbox...compared to the falcon.
