This rain we've had in Perth has caused an issue with my supercharged au xr8 ute. On idle it runs like normal but when I apply the accelerator it coughs and spluts. If I give it 100% accelerator there's nothing.
Almost like its choking. I'm leaning towards something getting wet that shouldn't be ( such as a sensor) or the air filters getting too wet blocking it ? Does anyone have any ideas??

if you think the engine might have gotten a good drenching perhaps sussing out the plug leads and coil packs for a bit of moisture.
sometimes a good drowning over the ignition system with crc or other moisture displacer can help on a wet ignition system , either that or pulling stuff to bits and drying it up with some rag and then see how it goes from there . good luck mate. |
