Talking Melbourne hot rod show pics

As I was "ditched" by the guys at station pier today, I went to Melbourne hot rod show. There were heaps of 55/56/57 chevs & heaps of mustangs so I took a few pics of the other cars. (my heart is with the early falcons)

It was the worst one in years. There were better cars out the front than in side.

LOL I was going to go and that's all I was going to do was look at the cars outside as last time I went i was not overly impressed with the cars inside and the cars outside were awesome.

Thanks for taking some photos cool 65

And you would be right Daniel. We were in there all day today. We helped a friend of ours Mark. It's his car in the first photo.

There were a heap of custom bikes with 15" wide rear tyres & even a few panel vans. Also a few stands selling billet parts at outrageous prices.
The bloke from the TV C31 rod show was there having a sticky too

Didnt bother going. To much bling for me. They have to be a bit more used and abused to look right. The pics look good but I do like the car park pic though. I can see a bit of a mustang and a Galaxie that look not bad!

glad to hear ,was thinking of going to have a look but over the last couple of years the show is starting to go down hill ,always the same cars nothing exciting, but the entry price always going up ,spend more time outside and in the streets looking at street cars than inside.

rather go to hanging rock car show 2000+ cars takes one whole day to have a look well worth it..

den

I agree, not worth the $20, last century there where even cars on level 2, yeap that old and do remember.

Only highlight was the XA/XB GT and the XY GT. Eleanor was nice though.

Same old, same old. I keep telling myself, forget about going in, just drool about in the carpark, but no. Spend half an hour in the sun,get sunburn on bald skull, spend $20 to get in, and just to see last years exhibits. Lesson learnt hopefully. Oh, forgot to mention overheated car, parking fees, food stall rip off etc etc.
