Default Club run with a difference Oct 21st

Hi Everyone,

In conjunction with my other club (Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club) we are doing a one day MS GT rallye. Normally a 2 day event, this year it will be on Sunday October 21

So what is this?
The Ms GT Rallye is a fun navigation style event on all sealed roads made for sports cars…….winding and challenging with a bunch of questions to answer along the way.
The year has been shortened this year to a one day event, the route will take us around the picturesque and challenging roads of the Bass shire.
Stage one start at a meeting point in Cranbourne with a lunch stop at Kilcunda pub, the afternoon stage will conclude at the Tooradin airport bar and restaurant around 4.00pm

Date Sunday 21st October, 8.30am
Meeting point : Bunnings Car park Cranbourne
Cnr Sth Gippsland Hwy and Thompsons Rd

· Great challenging roads with beautiful scenery
· All sealed roads (No dirt)
· Guaranteed lots of fun
· Bring a navigator and a sense of humour

Guaranteed is some amazing roads, a barrel of laughs, some interesting questions and a great day with some very social people.

Entry is $5 (trophies are awarded) and if you are interested or want to know more, please contact me

Cheers,

I'm hoping to attend and I'm 99.99999% sure i will be alone, can this sort of thing be done without a navigator and a belly full of sugar? : Or will I need a rent-a-navagator?

Hey AUXRVIII,

(BTW your post count just clicked over 888...... oooooh is it an omen for tomorrow..?)

You can by all means come by yourself- it just means you'll have to answer the questions/read directions and drive - not the first time and certainly won't be the last someone has done one of these on their own..... you could always rent-a-guessor / grab a mate - someone reading this may want to ride shotgun with you......

It's not easy getting people willing to leave here at 4am, so I'll see what happens.
888 maybe a good omen, I'd like the number 17 to be there too and in front.

Atleast none of our product had to be fixed on the side of the road. :

I was waiting for that one........
Yep- club members took out 2nd and 3rd, and thanks to AUXRVIII, the Z32 that had broken down on the side of the road was able to head home gingerly... :not worthy:

And the view from the Kilcunda Pub was sensational.....
We plan on taking it back to a weekend event next year.
Here's a couple of pics...

The boaks and the "stacks" who came 2nd and 3rd respectively....

With original rego "KGB..." it will always be known as Boris....

Gotta love the rego...

Last.... but not least. it started as a 240K, then had a Toyota Supra/Soarer (can't remember which) engine chucked in it, supercharged it, and it's all fed... by the turbo. The sounds reminded me of the Donut king jet Van we have seen at sandown, but bugger me when he put his foot down........

Looks like a great day. Pity I missed it . Would have been a nice day in an open top car. By the way - I heard there was a "fresh face " on the run. Do you have any photo's.

For those who missed out on the day you missed out on some of Sth Victoria's finest roads to go touring on on a Sunday :eclipsee_ :eclipsee_ with no Volvo drivers in sight. Congrats to all of the winners and to Steed for a top effort to complete the day as Driver & Naviguessor....

Well had a technical probem with the washing machine - the RCD unit kept tripping out on the house. Had to get an electrician in - thanks for your help on this problem GBG and MOTIV8 - couldn't even tape the racing !!!!

Yes I know the "fresh face is in the pics but no one else would recognise him - I don't think his own father would !!!!

May be a close up GBG ???????
