Well, I think my clutch is on the way out. Started slipping in 5th gear today along the freeway (accelerate in 5th and it starts slipping). Not dead yet, but the writing is on the wall
Adam and Matt, from memory you've both replaced your clutches. Any tips from anyone? eg Stay genuine? Aftermarket? Best options? Things to look out for? etc etc

Well Ford Racing has Original equipment and aftermarket parts.
Not sure how long Ford Racing will keep making Zetec parts for.

Steve my clutch only when because the clutch springs went on me. Other than that I had plenty of meat left on the clutch. I don't mind the orginal clutch. Should've went aftermarket heavy duty clutch. It would probably be cheaper but the original is good. Shop around and see what you can get for the price. A thing I hate about my car is the noisy thrust bearing and costs $130 if i remember correctly for that. So get that checked as well Steve.

My clutch went after I taught a girl to drive. Never again. Original clutch not an issue, it's not like I do burnouts anyway.
