Default Targa Tasmania on TV

Targa Tasmania is being shown on Channel 7 Brisbane at 11.00 am today. I don't know about the other states.

$55,000 EVO dominating the $425,700 Porsche GT2 and the $39887598965984 dollar Lamborghini Superleggera.

The Evos are crazy. They are serious track cars.

! Having started the thread, we got visitors and I forgot to tape it.
Does anyone on the Gold Coast have it taped?

From all reports, the EVO is so much more tractable on ordinary road surfaces than those other two cars. It really is the track bargain supercar.

The EVO that won was also highly modified, where the Porsche GT2 of Richards is factory standard. Look well down the field for the results of the factory standard EVO's. Also remember the Porsche is race ready for $425,000, where the EVO is $55,000 then add about another $50,000- $60,000 to make it race ready. Yes the EVO is still a much cheaper option, but it is also still a Lancer.

The porsches are not race ready for targa! They have to modify them to cope with real roads, not the race track. They fit higher springs, softer shocks, and plenty of other changes to stop them from destroying themselves on the bumps.
My maths also says the evo is also less than half the price of the porsche with your figures. They tend to buy jap import evos that are only able to be used for motorsport purposes, so they are even cheaper.

I drive the targa roads daily, and they are a whole lot different to the race track. That is why a rally car will be superior to a circuit car.
