“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Great how a complete motor built with tweezers and a screwdriver,
sensational machining skills.

Absolutely extraordinary. The craftsmanship there is amazing.

Just goes to show in this age where everything is virtual this, iSomething that, made in China or whatever, there is still people out there with that genuine skill of a craftsman, that can only be learned through time, experience, and hands on work.

Great stuff.

There used to be a mob in the USA making large scale replicas (about 1/8th I think) of Cobras with a miniature V8 in them, remote control ones. If people can remember that far back, on the TV show Home Improvement, Tim Taylor had one on the desk on his show "Tool Time" and fired it up. They had a real Cobra in the studio and then panned to the RC version, and he showed the little V8. Sounded awesome!

That guy is an awesome machinist but has obviously never seen a V12 or I6 crankshaft- they're supposed to have the throws in a particular order- two x 3 cyl symmetrical about the centre. Instead, he has two x 3 cyl back to back. I suppose it probably doesn't matter on that scale though.

...What does matter is that his camshaft drives are 1:1 with the crank instead of 1:2 so that engine will never actually run... The video at the end isn't making nearly enough noise for it to be running.
