There's a woman here who seems to think her 5-year-old 2007 manual Epica is worth $18,800, when you can buy a brand-new 2011 plated 2.5L auto Epica for $23,990 drive-away.
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-2007-12367098 Wow, 78% retained value after 5 years?! |

Realistically it's only worth about 10 grand. I find the baby I6 in them interesting though.

I think she put the decimal places in the wrong place ... they are only worth $18.80 ... in reality.
LOL

edit.. this one on sale is the very gutless early manual version, only a 2 litre. Really worth not much at all. Last edited by MethodX; 10-04-2012 at 07:41 PM. |

Crystal Glaze elements paint coating. 50,000klms old, worthless anyhow
Scotchguarded intertior. 50,000klms old, worthless anyhow Custom made seat covers and floor mats. I'd rather they were factory accesory rather than super cheap special order BDS - braking distribution system. ABS. Wow thats a unique feature 2 yr factory warrenty remaining with warranty books. Protector Computerised corrosion control. I'd rather corrosion prevention, rather than controlling it after its already attacking my car! Underbody sound deadener. Yes people are getting very ambitious with 2nd hand vehicle prices nowadays. |

2003 Toyota Echo. 80,000kms, "full service history", automatic. $9000. A brand new Suzuki Alto is $11k. |

I wonder if all that rubbish she has left on the floormats is the reason she is asking $10,000 more than this hunk of junk is actually worth?

" The engine is an inline six-cylinder designed by Porsche "
That's why she wants the big bucks. How can it still have 2yrs warranty if it's 5yr old / did they have a 7yr warranty ?!

Read a thing in the paper the other day about an Epica owner discovering after 5 years that the transportation blocks were still in the car
