ok ya all prolly gonna larf @ me but is it usal for the light beside ignition too stay on ?

Does it stay on all the time? Or only when you unlock the doors? It should go off once you start the car.
Also, just a tip - don't bag the AU in the AU section! LOL.

after you start it gose off but after you switch it off and lock car stays on for ages dono if this is normal nothing is really mentioned in factory manual just intrested to find out being my fist car that wasint made before late 80's lol

Yep, I think it stays on for a while - 30 seconds or a minute. Something like that - I think it goes off when the main interior light goes off. Also, if you leave the interior map lights on, they will go off by themselves after an hour.

yeah lights do turn off after an hour, but dont keep your glove box open over the weekend, Hard to start the car with a flat battery! LOL
